Are there chapters missing between part 1 and part 2?

I can already tell in the first few minutes that Mr. McDowall is going to do justice to this sleeper classic.

This is my absolute favorite story of all time. I have read this series about 7 times. And found something new every time. Thank you for this read.

I kind of love the ending they deserve it, the characters I like to tell you thenkie Sai thank you big big Dennis Patrick McDonald sai. I am feeling completed by this ending some aspects of this series can be bizarre or problematic but that is the law of the art and I still love it. I know Sai Steven King is rich and has enough for him and his but I still felt bad for stealing from him so I bought "The Darker the Better" with I would not do if I did not listen to those audiobooks. So from one internet stranger to another I thank you for enriching my hard life and wish you Long Days and plesent nights Sai Dennis

I have read pretty much all of Stephen King’s books, but need the ones that I remember well to help me fall asleep. The Shining was the first book I read after my mom finished it. I love his writing!

It's so incredibly weird to hear someone who sounds so much like George Carlin talking about a kids train story.

Superfluous and intense and narrated beautifully. Took a trip years back via northeastern Georgia through Rabun County. My imagination, running wild remembering this book and film.

I found the upbeat music during pedophile scene a little distasteful 😧

The story is good, the narrator is good, the music at the beginning and end of the chapters is annoying and side note SK dropps N Bombs in so many of his books does he get a pass cause we like his stories??!! I'm not sure how to feel after the first corner pocket visit conversation

I've always preferred this to Desperation. Better pacing and more likeable characters. This version of Tak is more enigmatic, and far creepier.

What a great writer! It was one of the best stories I have heard lately. Made me cry. The narrator was so good and made you “see” the story.

Hot take : the movie is better. Streamlined. Propulsive. Gave protagonists that actually were worth rooting for . He has an all timer banger of an idea and squanders it on clunky exposition.

Thank You so much for sharing this. Obviously this was truly a great task, so I'm very grateful for your hard work. I've read just about everything Stephen King has written over the decades and really do appreciate the lesser known works and more recent writings as he is the Master when developing a Character and describing scenes, actually taking the reader on a journey. This Novel was different from most. When you think the Story is going to continue with Bobby, allow a sudden you're hearing a different Story some years later without any Paranormal element. At first I felt disoriented until Carol, Bobby's childhood friend appears. And then it wasn't so hard for the other elements of this story to all click into place. It might even be good for a re - read as there are things you may miss from Ted's Wisdom and the way other literary works can be interpreted that are crucial to this Story? I found this deeply moving Although I was born in 1961, I'm a young 63 years. However, I grew up in the San Fransisco Bay Area watching the World News ( in black and white) every night showing riots, Vietnam Nam, Protests, sit inside @ every University, flower children in the streets, and the Death Notices delivered by Military men to our neighbors when a Soldier died. Or Police notifying Parents when their child OD'ed on Drugs! I witnessed 2 young men unalive themselves under the influence of LSD before I was ten!

I love hearing this read out loud. I love Susan and Rolands love, wish it went different for them.

Great audio book, it would have been even better if there was no background music at the end of each chapter.

Thanks for uploading this Dennis I adore the multiverse ideas and author insert but oh boy those Stephen King has some problems with the magic negro trope as much as I love disability representation and how he shows the brave fight for civil rights the whole MPD /System / Dissociative identity disorder of a black woman when one of them is a minstrel show parody and then there shared body being stolen by a white woman to have a babe is SO PROBLEMATIC like HOLY SHIT Steven!

This was a very interesting book! We lived on a peninsula that had a homeowners association. We didn’t live in the association, but my husband was a cop who worked for the association. It wasn’t like this one, but it was interesting to listen to how bad it could be! Excellent writing! I loved it.
